The Toshiba C655D-S5139 is different from some of the other C655 models, because it has a faster 1.6GHz dual-core processor, which makes the computer more suitable for business purposes and for people who like to use more than one application at a time. The laptop comes pre-installed with a Windows 7 operating system and has a variety of features such as an AMD E-Series E-350 CPU, Radeon HD 6310 GPU, 3GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB HDD (5400rpm), SuperMulti DVD, 10/100 Ethernet, standard stereo speakers, 802.11b/g/n wireless, 720p video resolution, microphone/headphone ports, two 2.0 USB ports, a 6-Cell Li-Ion Battery, and has a large 15.6″ widescreen full color LCD display.
The Toshiba Satellite C655D also has a memory card reader that allows you to transfer files quickly, efficiently, and easily from our your camcorder, digital camera, smart phone, MP3 player and you can share home movies and playlists with memory sticks and SD cards. However, the laptop does have many other wonderful features, such as Draft N wireless for connectivity on-the-go, a dual processor, and a 6-cell battery for 3.5 hours of uninterrupted use.
For the work that I do, this laptop works very well. In the beginning I was not used to the touch pad, but I quickly adjusted and was able to maneuver the pointer anywhere I wanted it to go. When I go on the internet, the computer’s inbuilt wireless capability connects quickly and easily to the Cisco Router that is in my home. The display screen is a large 15.6″, the colors are vivid, and the pictures are very clear. The laptop is light enough for me to place it on my lap, on a table, or take it with me wherever I go. The sound quality is excellent and the incoming audio is unobstructed. I do not have anything negative to say about this laptop. It looks great, processes data quickly, is effective, and works wonderfully.
The Toshiba C655D-S5139 is no longer available, but the company has other high quality C655D models that are equal or even better that work and operate just the same.
