Depending on where you live, Sennheiser is a name that you may or may not have heard of before in the crowded headset market. We’ve reviewed a number of Sennheiser’s wired headsets in the past and been impressed with their offerings. Now Sennheiser fans can go wireless with the first Sennheiser wireless gaming headset — the GSP 670 — which will be released in July for PC and PS4.
Wireless gaming headsets offer gamers more freedom while gaming on console or PC and prevent wires from being annoying or interfering with gameplay, depending on your setup. While wired audio tends to offer better sound than their wireless counterparts, advancements have been made to significantly close that gap. In the case of the GSP 670, Sennheiser has integrated a proprietary low-latency connection that guarantees a reliable and stable transmission with near-zero delay.

Compatible with both PC and PlayStation 4, the GSP 670 utilizes a USB dongle. Bluetooth connectivity is also an option to pair the headset with compatible PCs, smartphones, and tablets. Offering “warm, deep bass without compromising the mid-range and high frequencies,” Windows users can also install the Sennheiser Gaming Suite for Windows for further sound modes and options.
The wireless gaming headset also allows gamers to independently control chat and game audio balance through a pair of integrated volume wheels. Muting the broadcast-quality noise-cancelling microphone is easy as well: simply lift the boom arm up.
The GSP 670 offers up to 20 hours of battery life via Bluetooth and up to 16 hours over USB. In addition, a 7-minute quick charge over USB allows for 2 hours of use. Should the battery be completely depleted, the headset can still be used while charging via USB and can also be used wired without the included USB dongle.
Gaming headsets need to be comfortable as well and the GSP 670 features adjustable contact pressure, cooling suede-like ear pads, and a metal hinge system to accommodate different head size and face shapes.
